The organizing committee has assembled a dynamic program featuring over 60 presentations by more than 90 speakers. This program will provide attendees with 15 hours of continuing professional development.

The meeting is being held in conjunction with the Canadian Institute of Actuaries’ (CIA) Annual Meeting with combined plenary sessions and many opportunities for networking with the CIA attendees. Our joint keynote speaker will be Michael Woodford, former CEO Olympus Corporation. Mr. Woodford will take attendees through the riveting experience of whistle blowing on his own company, and the lessons on governance and crisis management. An additional plenary session on Genomics has been added to the program featuring Dr. Pieter R. Cullis, Emile Stipp and Jacques Boudreau.

The meeting will be held in the picturesque town of St John's in Canada's province of Newfoundland and Labrador.  Sessions will be held in the Delta Hotel Conference Centre.

SOCIAL PROGRAM

As part of your registration fees, attendees will take part in a welcome reception on Sunday evening, a Gala Dinner on Monday evening and the joint Pub Crawl - “Rally in the Alley” with CIA meeting attendees on Tuesday. This evening will feature local entertainment and cultural experiences, including an Irish Step Dance lesson from local dancers, a Newfoundland Sing-a-Long with song sheets, and a Newfoundland Screech-In.
